Bowling With Flare or Flair?

I grace you with a little preview of our Sunday. The Bees procured some entertaining family time for my son's birthday. He picked the place, and we all went bowling. It was surprisingly fun, I bowled a 129 but I fear, my right arm is now about 6 feet longer than my left.

Mr. Coffee and my father in law, both having physically demanding jobs, were both able to break the sound barrier. Each time they hurled the ball toward the pins. HURLED, I say, rocketing them to the end. I thought surely the lane would ignite in streaky flames.

Mr. Coffee has also managed a strike in bowling this way. He's done it many times, although, I didn't manage to catch it on film this time around. I also bowled a 129 after 9 years hiatus and luckily showed up 1st after being last the first round.

The youngest bowled (below) with her little "bowling walker". I like that I sound so retarded when I yell, "GOOD JOB!" at the end. I'm like a freakin Bowling Drill Instructor.

"THROW IT! ARE YOU THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL?!"

Now that is the voice that I thought I would hear over the phone a few weeks ago! "GOOD JOB!" You think someone that drinks coffee 24-7 would develop a hearty sort of voice like a smoker. Not that you sounded like a smoker, but someone who pumps caffeine and researches family history (?) ought to sound like a "go get 'em" kind of a person. Yeah. That's it.

I had a good laugh. The suspense before your daughter's bowling ball hit the pins and the screeching is just hilarious. "Ohhhhhhhh, comoooo, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyeah!"
"GOOD JOB!"

I need tons of sleep too. I just don't feel good getting eight hours. Not enough, man. I need naps, eye rests, more naps and bed early. Never happens though.

I want a bowling walker!!!! I didn't even know they had those!

I'm totally with ya on the sleep thing. Except I'm more of a 10ish hour person. Ok, ok. 12. :)

Hey, there's nothing wrong with a 129, unless like me, you're playing golf. Actually, my score in golf and bowling are usually about the same, now that I think about it. And I like Mr. Coffee's style. I'd undoubtedly break my leg if I tried that.

129 is very respectable after 9 years.
Northwest bowling appears to be very much like Oklahoma bowling except we ALL use bowling walkers 'cause we're so dang drunk all the time.....

I'm so with you on the sleep bit...I got seven hours last night and I'm like the walking dead this morning. Ugh.

Ahhh so that's why I look so terrible lately? The five to six I've been getting to accommodate finals and the 5:30 am car pool aren't enough? Well, for the time being I'll just distract everyone from the under eye circles with really shiny lip gloss.

well i haven't re-entered the land of normal bedtimes from nanowrimo land. i'm praying i get to bed before midnight one of these days or my brain's going to bust. but generally, i LOVE the idea of 13 hours of sleep, and think it should be mandatory. oh how glorious that would be. all the dreaming i could do, all that laying around. oh and the children would have to sleep 14 hours. definitely. how great and well behaved would they be? *sigh*

Bowling is fun. When I go bowling with my group of friends, somehow I suspect there is more alcohol consumption than there was in your videos.

I actually have my own bowling ball. And my own bowling shoes. I used to be on a team. Everyone had a blue ball, so the name of the team was "The Blue Balls". Pretty creative huh? We thought so.

I have a phobia of bowling shoes.

The night before last, I got 10 hours sleep, and yesterday I felt a lot less like ripping off people's heads and spitting in them.
