I have been chugging large amounts of coffee to keep me from crashing by 5pm. I'm really surprised at how drained I am. I packed, I packed and I'm still packing. This is inspiring the age old question, "DO I really need to keep this?" The local Salvation Army is probably wondering if I've boosted a storage unit or something from the size of their donation pile. My rule of thumb? If I haven't used it in a year, and it's not an heirloom, photo, or ski boots...I'm pitching it. My kingdom for a storage unit and an 10 x 15 should just about do it.
Moving is coming along steadily. We plan to be out of here by this weekend. The house closing is tomorrow and Buyer Bob was gracious enough to allow us another couple of days while the sale recorded with the county. I am so thankful this is going so well.
I'll be back in one more week to fill nostrils with milk, load your mind with stories, and plaster your blog with smart aleck commenting from yours truly.

Geez - packing for a move AND worrying about not blogging enough? You're not Superman you know (name that reference).
Don't worry about us. Take some time and do what you need to do. We'll still be here.
Wow, everything is moving along at a rapid pace. That could be good, or bad. But let us assume it is a good thing for your sake.
Can't wait till your back to normal.
I HATE packing..I HATE moving..and I HATE coffee..
hehee
Please don't fill my nostrils with milk! LOL
Good luck moving!
if you must fill my nostrils, make it something a little more soothing, such as acetone etc.
My blog has been lacking in smart aleck comments lately.
Happy dancing for you! *Jiggly-wiggly*
(Praying for a buyer for our house too!)
so glad life took a good turn for you :0)
ugh! packing....i need to do exactly what you are doing i've downsized twice in the past five years so i have stuff in boxes and boxes and even more boxes.
i just may have to follow your plan, painful as it may be.
mck
By the end of a move, I usually end up just throwing things away (a cd player, a four-drawer filing cabinet, etc) rather than move them. I hate moving so much, but it really is a great chance to honestly evaluate whether you should keep something. How much do I want you, breakable jar of bath salts? Enough to wrap you in protective packing material and find a place for you in a crammed box? Probably not.
But it really is unpleasant. Hang in there! I'm impressed with your keep-moving-on ability!
Buyer Bob...love it!
Happy moving!
Hope the move goes smoothly. Hang in there!
excellente.
Good luck with the move. I usually get a phone call whenever someone moves, but such is the fate of anyone who owns a pick up truck and a large flatbed trailer.
Have fun with the newer, larger kitchen and heated pool. Those things are very important!
I feel your pain. And it seems like no matter how much stuff you throw out, it's always the wrong stuff. Three years after our move, I'm still asking Turtle where's this whozit that I need (but which was given away) or why is this thingy (which ought to be thrown out but hasn't) still taking up space in the garage?
So happy for you Emma.
Now enjoy your week, cuz I expect loads of wit from you upon your return.
Hope that move went well.
ahh im sorry i have been a bit behind on my blogging.. i am very glad to hear that you have managed to avoid the "F" word and so very pleased that things have worked out as well as they have!!! i hope things go well with the move!! take care.
Have fun! Every move is a new adventure. At least, that's what I tell myself... And best of all, you get to do a spring cleaning and sort through all your crap once again.
HEY! I just realized I'm not in your list of blogs anymore. Whassup with that? I'm beginning to get paranoid!
We miss you Emma S.
I am allergic to moving. I am just going to refuse to go when my husband transfers for school.
Just wanted you to know I have been thinking about you. I miss those snarky comments! :) Good luck with the move. See you on the other side. Peace, my friend :)
give me back my leg
I could have sworn I left you a comment on either this post or the one before.
Darn.
I'm glad all is going well for a change. You deserve it.
