Which Floor For Smoothies?
I don't know about you but this scene at our mall cracked. me. up. (click to enlarge photo).
First off, Shrek does not look in any condition to drive. His hands are nowhere remotely near the steering wheel let alone on it. Is he sleeping? Going heavy on the sauce? Fancying himself a James Bond type but only sounding like a dork as he giggles the phrase, "...and that's Shaken Not Stirred". No more happy hour for him and shame on the mall for letting children witness this. What kind of mall are we running here.
Donkey looks like he has (or will shortly) put a spot on the front seat.
Oh, holy crap. We are going to die.
Sponge Bob? Well, the Sponge looks like it's his BEST DAY EVER! I think he put up fuzzy dice and turned on Kool and the Gang's "Get Down On It" shortly after I captured this Kodak moment. We know The Sponge has the uber dancing skills as we've witnessed during his jelly fishing excursions.
The complete absence of seat belts was also horrifying. Aside from obvious disregard to their safety and the common mall dweller's well-being, I'd admit that VW bus was screaming for a sweet set of spinners.
It's easy to think they were just driving through the mall to get smoothies but I think it's because they wanted to see the Mall Santa to ask for roached rims for Christmas.
Well? It makes sense.

yes! it is about time someone came down on those rule-disregarding hollywood types. i for one am sick of having to sit quietly while they are just getting away with murder. yes, murder. especially that sponge bob. i think it's time we take it into our hands to deliver some hard, cold, vigilante justice, ala charles bronson.
I loved your interpretation of the donkey. I had a hearty yet satisfying laugh. Endless fun.
LOL
Spongebob ALWAYS looks like it's his BEST DAY EVER, which is why we love him. He is a dedicated fry cook, a friend, an excellent bubble blower.... What's not to love?
I don't really like Shrek. I wouldn't let him drive. I'd make him ride on the roof. I am repulsed by ear wax.
I think they are just high tailing it away from the Victoria's Secret display. Those mannequins always look so hungry.
I don't have a cool comment to leave. I'm laughing too hard.
Cartoons don't need seatbelts. If Shaggy and Scooby were in there, pot smoke would be coming out of the car.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO who lives in a Volkswagon under the sea....
Shrek does look tossed. But what cop would dare arrest an ogre? I do not think a taser would have any effect.
Don't worry about them not wearing seatbelts.
Cartoon characters can never die.
They can be smashed flat as a pancake, and within moments, they're good as new.
I LOVE Spongebob!!!!!
The poster-child example of why LSD and driving don't mix.
actually yur makin no sense at all and i'm wondering if you have been hittin the roachs yerself???? maybe i'm kidding maybe i'm not but maybe i'm just GMC!!!
I'll have what Shrek's having...
make mine "Shrekin Not Stirred"...
Every time I pass that VW bus in the mall, it takes me back to that groovy time, ten years pre-conception... It was dark. That's all I remember. But the bus makes me smile. Thanks for the laugh!
hilarious! I totally agree that shrek does NOT look in a fit condition to be driving.
that is way too funny..
but I think SpongeBOB is rubbing Donekys "memeber" and thats why he has that look on his face and where Sbob is smiling..
Hope you don't mind but I just had to link this over at my place!! I found it hysterical!!!
LOL. Kool and the Gang does seem appropriate...
If we ever learned ANYthing from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", it's that toons can't drive.
Only a true blue blogger would take this picture in the first place, and then interpret it thusly. Congratulations!
LMAO! I abhor Spongebob, but the other two... that's hysterical!
A yellow VW bus is enough to make me smile. We had one when I was growing up.
it's really amazing how much you can tell about a person, by the songs on their iPod...yes, totally a product of the 80's and trapped there. oh well, the music was better then, besides. i feel like my parents, when my kids listen to their music...i'm like, what do you call this stuff? music? back in my day, music had a beat...blahblahblah...
oh, tag...go and do that meme...lets see what era you're a product of!
Bee, since they were riding in a VW bus I took a slightly different '60s interpretation of the scene.
Shrek looks like he got a hold of some very good "mellow yellow", no doubt grown organically not far from you in Humboldt County, California.
Sponge Bob looks like he just licked a few stamps, and I'm not talking about the ones you affix to envelopes for the purpose of mailing.
Now, the Donkey looks like he just sampled a batch of home-grown methamphetamine, although I don't know that crystal meth was quite in vogue during that time period. Probably just some garden variety speed, like I assume most of the truckers traversing Interstate 5 back then were using.
Anyway, those are my thoughts. Thanks for the picture.
OMG Bee....you crack me up!
